I stopped by “Joe & Shirley’s Place” the other morning. There was a fresh brewed cup of coffee handed to me and three warm smiles greeted me. I joined the men at their kitchen table. The smell of eggs and toast filled the air. I looked around; this was a home, not just a house. Whether the men stayed a night or for a year, you could tell, this place is an oasis, a break from the storm from which each came, not so long ago. JSP gives these guys a chance to debrief, reflect, and redirect the course of their lives. No longer alone, they are among new friends. It brings me great satisfaction to be in the midst of these awesome souls. Truly, they are “Diamonds in the Rough.” I want all of you out there, to know what a great impact you are making in the lives of so many men, women and their children. When you support ARSR you give real people real help. Thank you, sincerely,
Dave Beatty Executive Director Addiction Relief & Supported Recovery, Inc.
