What J .S.P. Means to MeMy name is Scot Leavey and without an agenda, I will share with you what JSP has done for me and so many others in recovery. In my many years of active alcoholism I had given away everything I hold dear to me in this world, such as my marriage, family, jobs and friends, along with a lot of my material possessions. Pretty much everything short of my life! After stumbling into treatment, I came out of the other side with a new hope. What I didn’t have however was a safe environment in which to start over. On a recommendation from a friend, I found Joe & Shirley’s Place and Mr. Dave Beatty. Right from the beginning I felt something special. I was given the ability to live and interact with people in all stages of recovery in combination with a strict but flexible infrastructure. From this I was able to find and build a sober lifestyle from positive fellowship, find gain‐ ful employment, and mend a painful past by creating a positive future. J.S.P. has been a large cornerstone for my recovery and with no reservation or doubt, I can say that without having JSP as part of my recovery, I would surely still be lost. Proudly and sincerely, Scott Leavey
